Sponsoring a Motion for Funding Evening Hours for Health Clinics.
Cincinnati Council members are sponsoring a motion that would fund evening hours at the city health care clinics. The death of Mr Kyle Willis brings home the point of just how important emergency dental care clinics are. Mr Willis age 24 died in August of 2011 at University Hospital when he had an untreated tooth infection spread to his brain.
Even though Mr Willis did go twice to Clermont County emergency room for his terrible toothache pain, and the ER doctors did give him a prescription for antibiotics, Mr Willis could not afford the cost of the antibiotics and the infection was left untreated.
Bootsy Collins and his Wife Patti along with several other family member also spoke out at the hearing. They hoping to educate the public to the importance of having emergency dental care offered at Cincinnati’s health clinics, and it to be provided to everyone regardless of ability to pay.
